As you can tell from the rest of my site here, I love teaching. It's been my privilege to have coached and advised many excellent voiceover people in our industry, including other voiceover coaches. Students of every age, background, and experience level can benefit from voiceover coaching.
As a bit of background, I've been doing professional voiceovers for nearly five decades, including tens of thousands of commercials, phone messages, corporate and eLearning narrations, audiobooks, characters for movies, toys, and video games, and lots more. My voice has been heard on major TV and radio networks, and on ads for major brands and Fortune 500 companies.
Some charge hundreds per hour for professional voice coaching. I can't bring myself to do that. I want to keep things affordable. An initial one-hour session where we become acquainted, do some initial reads, baseline your abilities, assess your prospects, and discuss the future, is just $99. Follow-up half-hour sessions are only $50.
We have great fun together, and make big progress toward important professional and personal goals in the process. Scroll to see the comments of people I've helped:
.Dane is not only a legend of a teacher, but also an all round great guy. He is a mentor and a gentleman.
I am very happy I have used Dane as my coach and he has opened up a whole side to my career that I didn't know existed. If you're thinking about VO coaching, look no further. Well priced and super professional. Dane is the man.

I had previously enrolled in an online course called "GigWinners!" featuring Coach Dane and other amazing panelists discussing how to create an amazing demo. I was thoroughly impressed and even more excited by the wealth of information in this one course.
I started working with Coach Dane approximately in June this year. (He) is an amazing coach: patient, consistent, professional, etc. I am excited about a journey in the voiceover business with him and you will be too!

If you're looking for VO coaching from a WORKING pro, Dane is a fabulous choice. Working with him once a week now. We found my "money voice" Friday.
He's a heck of a nice man and a natural teacher. Did I mention? His rates won't break your bank!

Dane was great! I got a ton of value from our 1-hour meeting. He gave me advice to improve my cadence, great recording tips, and exercises to follow up on. He addressed exactly what I needed help with. Would recommend! .

Dane's assistance was the difference between building a small shack house that is falling apart, and having a 5000 sq. foot mansion and feeling confident you have the best place! Thank you, Dane.

“I just want to thank Dane for an awesome coaching session this morning. I'm new to voiceover and Dane made me feel very comfortable because I am a tad bit shy lol.

Coaching session with Dane was excellent! His coaching and suggestions have already made a difference in my VO & radio work.
If you're stuck, or looking to improve, you won't regret investing in yourself with a coaching session with Dane!

I like that he was real and honest and wasn't just trying to "sell" me that I'm going to be the best voiceover, when I might not even have a shot.
If you're looking for someone who's honest and actually intends to help you, he's your man!

Here are EIGHT AREAS we can cover during our coaching sessions.
Speech Patterns
Sometimes, the things that hold us back are as simple as correcting basic vocal technique and speech patterns.
Natural Voice Voiceovers
One of the hardest things to do really well is to sound natural, but it's a crucial skill to develop.
Specialized Styles
Your demo needs to be more than just one or two styles. You should have three or more you can offer. I'll help you diversify.
Your Money Voice
Somewhere in that well of your talent is a style that stands out, not only for its quality, but for its marketability. Let's find it!
Recording Space
Where you record is a very important part of successfully doing voiceovers. I show you what you do and DON'T need to worry about.
Software & Editing
This is an area where "YouTube experts" really tend to lead people astray. Let me show you how simple the software side of things can be!
Microphone Selection
The best mic for you may not need to be expensive. I'll show you how to choose a mic that suits your voice and your pocketbook.
Questions Answered!
As you look into voiceovers, you're bound to have tons of questions, and one of them are stupid. Ask away!
Talent is a precious gift, but it alone is not enough. It requires the development of those natural abilities, and the channeling of them into the right areas, where they can result in measurable success.
Let me pass along some of the things I've learned during my decades as a voiceover professional, which will not only give you confidence in the direction you're headed, but will help you to reach your goals sooner.
